Mashable is looking for an enthusiastic video producer who devours content and news about technology, science, entertainment and fandom. This individual is a creative and decisive self-starter, who can do it all—find and shape the perfect story, shoot beautiful videos, direct talent, and edit footage quickly in various formats (16x9, 1:1, 9x16).
This producer will be pitching and creating video content primarily for Mashable’s new Reels section that covers all kinds of digital culture topics in vertical format, but also contribute to video programming on all our emerging platforms.
The candidate should be experienced in digital journalism, with a strong understanding of trending topics and social media. He or she knows which stories are best suited for what platform and can speak the language of pop culture, visually.
We're looking for someone who is incredibly task-oriented, organized, works efficiently and meets daily deadlines. Last but not least, candidates should have great communication skills to serve as a liaison between the video, creative and editorial teams.
